After recently playing around with an older laptop, I did a fresh install of Windows and didn't bother installing Flash. I log onto youtube and to my amazement it just plays right off the bat, even in HD modes, via HTML.
Why is there a need for a flash anymore then? If videos and content can be played in HTML.
Not only that, when I had flash installed, it actually made most websites that used flash for adverts etc run much slower.
Is flash nearing its' end? We can simply use HTML these days for video etc and no need for a nasty layer of Flash hogging resources.
Should we ditch Flash?
