Skyrim is not saving.

Now, I already saw another post about this, and as it turned out, that person was right. But simply changing my saves folder in [USERNAME]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves from read-only didn't fix the issue. Is there some special precaution I'm supposed to take to ensure this works? Because what I did, was actually originally just make the change in C:\Users\Riley\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves but I saw that it apparently had to be in just [USERNAME]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves, so I made the change there too. But still, when I try to save my game, nothing happens. And when I checked the folders to see why, they automatically reverted back to Read-Only again. Do I need the quit the game first or something? Do anything at all?
