Multiple windows users - help!

I'm normally a linux user and haven't used windows since 2001-ish so I'm a little out of my comfort zone!

I have two users (me and my daughter) on a windows PC which we use solely for games. As she's now old enough for SOME of my games I've set her up a steam account and shared my library with her user on that computer. All seems good. Couple of problems though;

Whichever windows user I log in as, Steam always loads and logs in under the most recent user to have played. This means that if I've been playing and log off, my daughter comes along and logs into her windows user then Steam automatically logs in as me! I don't want this as I don't want her to have full access to my library, but equally I don't want her to have access to her own steam password (she's a minor!) so I need Steam to log in automatically as her when she logs into windows. I don't even know how Steam is accessing the password of the previous user from a different user account (under linux this wouldn't be possible). How do I correct this?

Secondly, it seems that Steam saves our save-games together such that they are each accessible to each other, which is a bit annoying. It seems the only way to avoid this is to disable Steam cloud for each user. Surely as we each have a separate steam user ID our cloud saves should also be separate, or is this not so given that I have shared the game with her from my library?

Many thanks in advance for your help, sorry if asking stoopid questions. ;)
