With the current amount of reskins in the game (plus the recent inclusion of decorated weapons), I think there should be a clear indication of this status in the desriptions to improve readability (for newer players especially).
Something like "This weapon is a reskin of the Sapper" or "This weapon fuctions the same as the stock melee" (not to use the term "reskin") should do it.
Sure sometimes it's already pretty clear for the Festive or Australium variants and it would be controversial to classify some guns (the Original for instance). But for the reskins that have a completely different model and name with no description like the Nostromo Napalmer or the Apoco-Fists, that would be needed.
