So I have an alluminum bracket that needs priming + painting.
I started cleaning and sanding it down and noticed while sanding, that it's got a layer of oxidization (I think). It's got a flat coat of grey all over it, when I sand it off, the metal is nice and shiny again.
I'm using car primer. Would it be preferable to prime over that flat grey oxidization, or should I sand the Alu down nice and shiny, and prime that? Which would stick better?
