As the title says, but I'll explain my scenario. I installed GTA5 onto my secondary HD, it wasn't fast enough so I decided to move it to my SSD. I made the space, moved the game files and tried to get steam to recognize its existence. However it wouldn't let me because I didn't have enough space for both GTA5 to live on my ssd, and then another 60gb for steam to think there was enough space on my SSD to start installing it, and then figuring out it was already installed. So now, I'm just downloading it again, even though it's right there on my secondary hd. I think this is a suggestion and not a bug.
When installing games check for existence before disk space requirment
