Hello fellow Steam users.
I decided to do another playthrough of Dark Souls today. Upon loading steam I saw that the latest update for DS was downloading, and thought that I should probably check for a new DSFix version while this was going on. I removed the old DSFix files and copied the new ones in, along with the black leather armor and the black Elite Knight Set from the Nexus. To my utter dismay, I noticed that the game now ran with appalling FPS drops from just running around, as well as some screen tear! I'm currently playing the game on a laptop that is a couple years old, and purpose built for gaming. my specs are as follows:
Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M
Intel Core i7 4700MQ CPU (2.40GHz)
8GB RAM
1920x1080 resolution
I know for a fact that my laptop can handle this, it runs the Witcher 2 and Far Cry 3 on max settings. I have no idea what has caused this as I never experienced anything like this the last time I played the game just over a year ago. Any suggestions would be welcome as the framerate is currently unbearable.
Cheers!
Need help with FPS, cannot find the problem
