Hi, my CS:GO client stops responding as soon as I attempt to join any server. A few times it has spontaneously crashed (never in game). What I then have to do is cleverly tab to task manager and use arrow keys + delete key to end the CS:GO client since everything is not responding. I have only managed to join a community server 2 times out of probably 50. I have tried, to little avail:
-launch as admin/compatibility
-messing around with config
-messing around with video.txt
-different launch commands(including -safe)
-reinstalling CS:GO
-restarting Steam + computer
-crying (jk i swear)
-disabling antivirus/firewall
-changing game priority mode (it worked on Realtime 2 times)
-clearing/renewing ipconfig
My GPU drivers are up to date. Thank you and I hope this can be resolved for the betterment of the community. :D All other steam games work. And also I can connect to an offline server with bots no problem.
I think this has to do with a sharp spike in CPU usage at the moment of attempted connecting. The usage indicator caps and then recedes to ~50%. The game never starts responding again.
