While I haven't personally experienced the original class updates(i cri evrytiem), I've heard all the fun stories of how people would pretty much only play that class.
Knowing the TF2 pub community, valve's inability to give spy solid weapons, valve's ability to give engineer overpowered weapons and considering there's a huge 'team engineer' thread on SCUD with >50k replies(which mentions a team spy thread, of which there are no big ones) there's a big chance there'll be a huge invasion of engineers on pubs, with plenty of pyros too, to shift the odds even more.
What will you do? (if the update comes out at all)
I'll play demoman or soldier for sure, but I'm not very confident of how that will work out against the incoming abundance of engineers, pyros and spies.
Maybe direct hit and mantreads(for kb resistance against sentries and airblast) could become a viable loadout in the mess that the engie vs spy update will generate?
