The main menu of csgo is linked to the steam community, and it has to 'initialize' first before it takes any commands. Autoexec launches immediately so it doesn't read half of the commands.
I tested this by disabling steam community and changing my sensitivity in console then booting with autoexec at another sensitivity. So when I launch csgo with steam community off - my autoexec launches properly and ALL commands work.
When I launch csgo with steam community on - barely any of the commands work, you have to manually type exec autoexec for all the commands to change.
Just a heads up for the developers.. maybe somehow set autoexec to delay before it executes or find the issue revolving around this

Found out why autoexec doesn't launch automatically
