With older versions of Firefox the UFO ghost test at the above link looked quite sharp at 120hz on my BenQ XL2720Z, and putting blur reduction on made it seem almost flawless as it moves.
Now it is as if the page is reporting 120 fps at 120hz but is really running at 60fps at 60hz. The UFO is a lot blurrier and juddery, with or without blur reduction.
Restoring to an old OS image from last June confirms my suspicions. Visiting the link in FF 30.0 brought back the sharpness I remembered. But then updating to the latest version of FF sees the return of the blur and judder.
Can anyone think of any explanation for why the tests would run so much better in FF30.0 than in FF 36.x?
