Maybe some of the things people complain about a lot such as heavy, sentries (especially minis), random crits, sticky spam, etc, are complained about because they take fun out of the game? I don't mind dying, but when I get killed by a mini sentry, frontier justice crits, a minigun in my face, random 3x damage, etc, it's not very fun. It's just not fun to play against. So why WOULD we want to play against it? It just doesn't make sense. I get it, crits are in place for a number of reasons, including to allow new players to get kills and to change the tide of a match/battle, but come on. It's just no fun to lose against crits or something like that. Or being meleed in the back for an instant kill. It just isn't fun.
Has anyone considered that...
