It'd been about 2 hours since the incident, so I'm not as miffed as I was then, which was an incredible amount.
So I joined a game from the start to 5 other people, who were all clan buddies (you can tell already that this is going to go well can't you?)
I joined last and I saw there was no Heavy, so I go Heavy, but I ask if I must (I'm not a great Heavy), just in case someone would be willing to swap, or go without (I believe there is no set of rules to play MvM like a lot of people think, just so long as you're decent I don't really care).
During the game I had some FPS issues, which isn't a big surprise as I do experience this sometimes in MvM and on regular servers. Basically, my computer is fairly old, but I can still hold my own during a game.
So I'm playing Heavy, doing okay from what I can tell, until someone points out that I'd hardly put in any damage. It was somewhat true though, as the Medic was only about 1000 damage below me, but as I said, FPS issues/lag, which I pointed out to them, but they were like "no you haven't your ping is fine".
*rolls eyes*
Ping and FPS isn't always the same thing...
There was also that incident when a few of us were doing the Conga in front of a giant to prevent him from advancing, and it worked (think it was a bug). I was the last the leave because I decided to take a screenshot, which resulted in more freezing, so I wasn't killing anything at the time.
The Scout was doing his job well in picking up the money, as nearly all of it was collected. In all, I thought it was going fairly well, as we did get to wave 6 without any fails, expect for perhaps 1, I don't quite remember.
I also get a bit confused on where to be and when to be ready for the robots, so I didn't join the others and then 1 of the guys is like "Heavy get the f*ck up here!" So I join them, but I say nothing in case they decide to kick me.
Then the vote menu appears to kick me, and someone goes "you are terrible, go back to Bootcamp". Before I can get a word in, I'm already gone (I just wanted to call them a bunch of p**cks before departing).
I wouldn't let it go though, because that's not my way, so I added 1 of them under another name, just in case they recognized me, and basically told them sh*t and how big of an a**hole he was to me. Honestly, this is a problem, I feel very much treated unfairly.
The kick feature is and always will be abused when someone doesn't like something. Want to go Sniper? Nope. Want to use "that" weapon? Forget it. They think you have to be this with this and this and do this, otherwise you're a completely piece of trash! It makes me sick!
Can this not be changed so that the kick option is removed, and instead, just not allow newbies to join into the high MvM issues until completely less difficult missions, or, only allow them to join after so many TF2 hours?
Honestly though... wave 6! WAVE. BLOODY! 6! They would have gotten through it with me. Like... what morons.
Also the clan group was known as DDR, if that means anything. Bet it's a shi**y clan going by their standards.
What do you think?
