Syringe Gun needles move way too slow. Time for powercreep.

All I ever got from this suggestion in the past was whining about all the combat medics there would be and insistence that the medic should have no self-defense other than lucky melee crits.

And then the Crusader's Crossbow got buffed.

That thing is ing dangerous, and does even more damage at long ranges where you'd least expect a medic to be doing anything. It goes completely against the idea that medic shouldn't have any combat tools, but everyone is fine with it because it heals situationally.

Since we now know, as evidenced by the sticky nerf, that Valve doesn't always have to be an old-man company set in its tired old-fashioned ideas, it's time for a change. I've played 616 hours as medic, and I'm telling you, it's time the Syringe Gun needles flew faster. The only thing the Syringe Gun is very good at is aerating potatoes that run in a predictable straight line that you can lead, or clueless heavies that you can destroy with some random crit needle hail, but much of the time, you'd be better off using potatoes as batteries for your ubersaw, making the needles almost pointless. Warding off people while backpedaling is only marginally effective, most often only changing the outcome of the encounter in the case of W+M1 pyros. Enemies that aren't can strafe and otherwise move unpredictably making landing most of these needles that already have a lot of random spread, and a projectile arc, really frustrating to land, and no amount of leading or practice or gittin' gud makes it any different. It's not uncommon to miss with most of the needles at point-blank range due to the unwieldiness of these guns. It's pathetic, and even insulting I think that medics are stuck with this when the people we heal will often not even notice when your health is dropping and turn around to see what's going on.

Crusader's Crossbow is a dangerous weapon in addition to having a really useful side-utility of healing people at a distance and reloading automatically (it's hard to find time to keep your syringes loaded when people always need heals.) There are no more excuses. It's time at least for syringes to not be so frustrating to use.

You won't have any more combat medics than we already have. It won't do any more damage than it already does, it will just make it easier for medics to deal with things that are attacking them. Please votekick your friendly neighborhood-idiot combat medics instead of keeping nice things away from your good medics.

No real airsoft projectiles would fly this slow unless they had little parachutes attached to them.
