Hello fellow TF2 gamers!
I am a graduate student from the Computer and Information Science Department at the University of Oregon who is very interested in gaming and why people choose to play.
I am writing to invite you to participate in my research study about how gamers choose their in-game avatar. I am conducting an anonymous survey about Team Fortress 2 players and the main classes they choose to play. To participate, you must be 18 years or older. The survey is voluntary.
If you decide to participate in this study, you will complete an online survey. The first part of the survey will ask about your gaming experience in TF2 and similar games. The second part will ask you to describe yourself and two other entities using a pre-defined list of 65 adjectives. The survey should take approximately 15-25 minutes to complete.
Remember, this is completely voluntary. You can choose to be in the study or not and you may cease participation at any time. If you'd like to participate please click the link below.
