I recently reloaded the game. It's patched to 1.9.32.0.8, which is the last patch Bethesda released (at least according to the data I could find).
Should I still install the "unofficial" patch?
Has anyone done this, and did or didn't run into problems with the game?
Reason I'm asking is because I played the Darkwater Pass and freed a Falmer prisoner named Derkeethus (he's an Argonian Ranger). However, when we get to the end door that lets us go back outside into Skyrim, he doesn't come outside with me and disappears. The last conversation doesn't take place (where he thanks you), and the quest is not shown as completed. I've reloaded several previous' saves, but that doesn't work.
If there are problems loading the unofficial patch over/on top of the official patch, I can use a solution from UESP Wiki using the console commands.
One thing I'm worried about is that loading the unofficial patch would destroy my saved games and forcing me to start over again. The unofficial patch that supposedly solved this problem is 1.3.1
Thanks.
