Where are all the competent players?

Played community servers for years, played hours of valve pubs, and more recently 2 seasons of steel UGC HL and a some ringing for higher level teams(silver and Gold). One would think that the player base for comp would have better game skill and the maturity required to not have a hairpin trigger



Nothing compares to the drama low to "mid" level competitive especially UGC HL.

-Anecdotal Evidence Story Time-

For example today my steel team played a silver team. I thought to myself, this could be fun. They're a middle tier team in the middle of their tier. Clearly this should be a great match and good fun will be had all around, win or loose. Boy was i wrong...



We rolled both halves, and i mean rolled. It took them 14 minutes + to get 3 points the first half when we defended first. Other team saltier than the dead sea.

Where can you find decent players who don't cry over a single heavy chat spamming "Out dm'd"? It seems teams get better as you increase in tier, but still some teams seem to get through the filter. Any suggestions?
