so I've decided to actually ask for help myself. like the topic says i have all the system requirements for Team fortress but it lags still, i have no idea whats wrong, I have tried lowering the graphics but that doesn't work... i'm confused

Building a PC

I was thinking about building a gaming pc and i wanted to verify that i was making a good one. Here are the parts:

CPU: AMD FD8350FRHKBOX FX-8350 8-core black edition
GPU: Gigabyte AMD Radeon R7 240 GDDR3-2gb
MOBO: Gigabyte AM3+ AMD DDR3 1333 760G
PRWSUPP: Antec VP-450 Watt
CASE: Rosewill Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200 500GB 7200RPM SATA 16MB cache
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB Single

Those are all the parts I wanted to get for the PC. Are they good enough?
(Mainly for games like skyrim, Just cause 2, and Black Ops 2, and other games when i upgrade the ram, like farcry 4 and MAYBE COD AD.)

I have recently bought 100MBPS internet (I got a new router and modem as well) I do have the 100mbps (Or around there) on my wireless devices such as my laptop. My desktop is plugged into my laptop through Ethernet but i do not receive that download speed on my desktop. I only get 10mbps (My old download package) and it is strange because it is plugged into my new router but still gives me the same crabby internet as before.

What certainty do we have that valve's definition of competitive play is NOT 12v12 mannpower crits/no class limits?

If there is no class limits, it's robbed of legitimacy and fails.

You can be as good as b4nny himself, but if you're stuck busting 5 sentry nests on dustbowl with short circuit engies and taking random crits, it wont matter a bit.

Casual Queue for specific Map?

How do I queue for a casual game on specific maps. I just want to play on any other map than Dust2, but it seems like 75% of all games I get thrown into run that map, and all others get vote-changed to Dust2 when their map ends.

It's so samey and boring to just play Dust2 all the time and I can't for the life of me figure out how to queue for specific maps. I know how to do it in competitive, but it seems there is no option for it in casual, which I prefer to play due to my short bursts of game-time and that I often may be interrupted during play.

I know you can use the server browser to find specific servers, but those doesn't seem to include the Valve-hosted no-bullsh*t servers that casual queue puts you into.

Feel free to leave any questions you might have in the event thread and we’ll answer them in the stream.

So I've decided to make the upgrade from a Laptop to a PC. Nothing too fancy, I don't need to run everything at 4K, 60 fps, I just want to be able to play new releases at modest graphics.

That being said, I am completely inexperienced about building my own. I don't want to sink hundreds of dollars into a motherboard only to fry it into so much useless slag because of my ineptitude. So I contacted a friend of a friend who makes computers for a living. It would be great if I an AI train starts off as top priority but then changed to a lower priority as the scenario unfolds.
As an example, You're driving a passenger train that is following an express train. The express stops for passengers at a station where there are multiple tracks. You're next scheduled stop is down the line so you're allowed to use a passing track to get around the express. Further down the line while you're stopped to pick up passengers or for whatever, the express is allowed to pass you.
As far as I know this isn't possible the way the AI's work. You would have to able to change the priority back and forth as the scenario progresses.

A full charge from this weapon can grant 4 seconds/shots, but this can be extended). These charges are also the reason for the +50 HP; you are carrying the equivalent of an extra Ubercharge and/or 4 seconds/shots of on-demand crits, you are not going to live with 125 HP once the enemy sees you have this knife and have scored 4 backstabs already.

And i don't mean sprint, or speed power which comes with the suit. The character keeps walking, when your default speed should be much faster. I tried to mess with the controls, and nothing helped so far.

Is this common bug, and is there any fix for it? This never happened to me on desktop, but now that i play that on this lappy it does. All i know that my framerate is constant 60, and cpu and gpu temps are just fine.

I tried to enable console as well, but the key didn't respond, and i did enable the console before trying. I tried to change the console command key as well, but it didn't work either.

Looking for a Good Server

Long story short, I was branded as "inactive" on my previous long-time server (due to a combination of work and just needing to get away from TF2 for a while), had my benefits wiped, and most of my friends left the server for other things as well, so I'm looking for suggestions on other servers.

I'm specifically looking for ones with a talkative community (cuz I enjoy the random banter), laid back rather than competitive, and one that plays Payload or Attack/Defense maps. I've been searching around but most of the ones recommended by friends tend to play non-standard maps (hale, prophunt, etc...) which is fun sometimes, but makes it feel like chat room rather than a game. The ones that do play those maps are either hyper competitive or everyone's completely silent.

I'm going to start off saying; Yes. I was a complete, utter, idiot.
Anyways, a few months back, I typed in a command from a video I saw that lowered or raised the pixel count of your client, I'm guessing. After that, I closed TF2 and didn't come back for a few months. By then I had forgotten the command, and once I did come back, I couldn't find the video. Not through search or through my history. I searched for months trying to fix it, I tried reinstalling tf2, steam, and pretty much everything else. If ANYBODY knows how to fix this, PLEASE HELP ME!

Local Server Problems

It's as if I am lagging. I walk through slopes/raised platforms for a second then I appear on top. Jumping up and down is like I'm not moving at all.

But, it's fixed unless I start recording a demo. There is also no item server available offline either. (I rarely play offline, so feel free to make me feel silly!).

UPDATE: Googling suggests 'collision' is a keyword here.

Steam downloads unstable if throttled

For a little over 2 years now, I've had issues with downloading games while a download speed limit is set in the Steam settings. Every time I throttle my speed and download something, the download speed reaches the limit and then drops back down to zero. This repeats every 5-10 seconds or so. It goes up to the limit (1MB/s), back down to zero, up to the limit, then back down to zero, over and over until the download finishes. I know this is a problem with Steam and not with my connection or computer because I've tested this on different networks and different computers and have gotten the same results. I haven't made a thread about this before because I thought it would get patched eventually, but it is 2 years later and I'm still getting the same issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know how many players in absoult terms this is?

Suggestions:
1. Please implement smart vac detections. It is so easy to detect crazy high HS rates, constant snappy aim, too fast reactions etc.

2. Give us FEEDBACK for overwatch cases. Ban rate, detection rate. Get the kids with drops for every few ow cases.

Over at Game Informer, there's an interview with Warren Spector shedding some interesting light on a cancelled Half-Life project that his defunct company Junction Point was developing sometime between 2005 and 2007. We first learned about this in 2013.

So starting last night every time I log into csgo I get this pop up.

"Valve Anti- Cheat
Some of your game files have been detected to have no signatures or invalid signatures. You will not be allowed to join VAC secure servers.
Please verify your launch options, check correctness of your game installation, restart the game and try again."

I did: Verify Integrity of Game Cache, checked the launch options (it's blank btw), uninstalled csgo, reinstalled csgo, and even uninstalled/reinstalled steam.

The message still pops up any and all help/suggestions will be appreciated.

My friend and me have been playing CSGO for more than a year almost and ever since 1 month he keeps getting kicked out of matches and a message saying:

"VAC authentication error"

He restarts his PC and tries to reconnect and it tells him the same. He just got his second 7 day ban. That's complete crap and I'd really love to know how to actually fix this.

Don't refer to that one sticky-post, because he tried /all/ of what it says there.

I am absolutely sick of him getting random-♥♥♥ bans which aren't even lifted even though it's not even his PC's fault.

Fun fact: I've had multiple friends having that error the past few weeks, not just him. Just that he got his 2nd 7 day ban and that's really not how a game should work.

Valve needs to work on this. I'd love to get some proper answers on how to fix that. It's not possible that a huge company such as Valve isn't able to fix such a stupid bug. :confused:

-the iron-sight mouse sensitivity reduction seems higher, so need higher general sens for desired sens in irons. probly easy to get used to.

-having knife (1) put on 3 and primary on 1 is really confusing for me and my friends. Luckily you can change it back if you want already.

-melee parrying on alt mouse makes no sense. fire/altfire was m1/m-alt for all guns and melee weapons in the first game, so the new melee feature begs, BEGS, BEEEEGS to be slotted on the unused mouse2 but instead is classified as altfire, and altfire (strong melee) gets shoved to m2? Feels extremely unnatural and has been sabotaging me the entire time I've tried playing zerker. Why not put the holdable parry in place of holdable iron sights? It seems so obvious. And the way it is in the settings meleeparry and altfire are the same thing so you can't fix it yourself currently.

With the recent Workshop update that makes it so that some mods have to be purchased in order to be downloaded and used, what if we took that idea further?

Since a game like TF2 uses its workshop to see which items should be placed into the game, this system would probably not work out too well (because why would you pay for an item that only you can see, which is ironic because even then you can't really see it yourself?). That's why there should be an alternate model used for these kinds of workshops. Much like buy orders from the Community Marketplace, where you can "put money aside" to buy items once they get listed up, these workshops would have a feature where you can "put money aside" to show your support. It is like pre-ordering, without actually spending any money until the item gets put into the game. There should probably be some requirements in order to use this feature, like you can't be F2P and maybe you must have a certain number of hours put into the game or maybe you must be a certain level on Steam.

So how will this work? Basically, once enough people have put money aside on a single item, it gets priority for consideration by the potted plant and other TF2 staff to be put into the game come the next update. Some of my reasoning behind this idea is that I'd imagine Valve is looking for items with a certain number of votes over a certain amount of time. If they saw how many people were willing to actually buy this item, then they'd want to probably get it into the game and rake in the cash. Hopefully this idea will show Valve that there's still interest in items that have been sitting in the workshop for a long time. Also, it will allow Valve to put some items to rest (as in letting supporters and the creators know that an item will not be getting into the game).

If an item does get accepted, once it is put into the game, people who "put money aside" will get a special untradable, ungiftable version of the item that comes with an "Early Supporter" line of text. That money does get subtracted from their wallets, so if at any point you drop below sufficient funds, then they get removed from the pool of supporters. Also, the minimum amount would probably have to be $5, because it is like you are buying it. And maybe there could be an additional bonus if you decide to put down more money, like getting a Strange version of the item.

If you "put money aside" for multiple items, then the order in which you "put money aside" for them is how the priority for those work. So if you only have enough money for 3 out of 5 items, but all 5 make it into the game, then you will only get the first 3 items you "put money aside" for. You can modify this list in the event you come across items that you like more, or if you lose some interest in an item already at the top of your list.

This system will not replace the current one we have, it will just go alongside it. So if you're the type that wants to see the items be put into the game but don't want to actually fork over money, then you can still vote with your thumbs. Other items will still get into the game even if this system was in effect. You're just more likely to see items with people backing them up be put into the game. Also, if an item does not have a lot of people who "put money aside" for it when it does get added, those people will still get the special version.

tl;dr. TF2 workshop and similar workshops would have new "Pre-Order Orders" where people "put money aside" as if they were buying an item. Enough money/supporters on an item -> Valve gives item priority consideration for next update. Valve gives approval -> Item is put into game and supporters get subtracted money (if they still have enough) but get a special copy of item in return.

I decided to play with bots today for fun, on hard difficulty.

So:

A Spy stairstabbed an engineer.

A Pyro blew 3 bots off the cliff on Upward.

Another Spy got a 3K on Badwater while on fire.

Another Spy trickstabbed a Medic, dropping the Ubercharge.

A Heavy was juking a sentry by shooting it while running around it so the sentry couldn't shoot back.

One time I let them do a 9v9 highlander setup with me as spectator, and there was some actual gameplay going on with Spies going behind cover and Demos laying sticky traps.

What're your experiences with bots? What whacky or awesome things did you encounter with our AI friends?

Has anyone noticed rank ups being easier? I've been stuck at DMG for a LONG time and I'd get 6 game win streaks with no rank up but the past week I've been ranking up to eagle in just 2-3 win streaks with only 4/8 games won from my watch tab.

Everyone I know have experienced the same thing and are higher than their normal ranks (MG2 to DMG, DMG to LEM, LE/LEM to SMFC, ect)

i just got completely ♥♥♥♥ed over by the competitive banning system. ive be banned for tech issues multiple times (just got a 7 day ban ). not once have i been banned for any other reason but that alone. is there anything at all i can do to get these bans uplifted ?

the first couple bans i got was from vac server being blocked by something i fixed it but that got me up to a 24 ban.

now i just got banned for timing out of a game and not being able to join back with the error failed to connect to match making server.

why is there no forgive option at least ???? for example you get kicked out due to tech issues your team has the option to forgive you if all 4-5 team mates forgive you no ban is received.

VALVe shame on you for allowing mods to be sold. Most of us PC gamers who make mods do it for FREE because we love making mods, we love spicing up our video games.

I am against mods being sold, however I am all for a donation button so PC gamers who want to donate for a mod can donate however much amount of money they want to the mod makers. If they enjoy the mods a lot to pay for the mods.

To me it seems VALVe you forgot what PC gaming is and means and have taken the greedy route to charge more money for anything and everything.

First there was the Steam Marketplace, then the Steam Trading Cards, then the Name Tags for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, then keys for cases and crates. Something of which should not be in a video game that is not a Free to Play (F2P) video game.

There is already tens of thousands of PC gamers against this speaking about it saying it's a terrible idea.

There is a petition asking for this nonsense to stop.

This kid was lighting in up & was pre-firing & wall-banging peeps not to mention just head shot after head shot. Idiot was caught following players throgh the walls & tried shooting them LMAO.

Everyone reported him, so hopefully Over Watch can review quite a few of his vids. Quite a few times he tried playing it off after he was being called out, he see you through the walls but just ran by to get killed.. The walling & headshots were rapid in succession..

Towards the end he did NOT give a darn, he was headhunting every one, we ended up tying the game, lets just say without him there was NO COMPETITION, it was so obvious..

My pc is about 4 years old. I could potentially be able to sell my GPU and buy something like a GTX 960 or maybe by the end of the summer get something a little better. My main plan was to wait until next year and do a re build with Intel/Nvidia. I am wondering what would be the best option for me as my PC is starting to show its age. I am willing to overclock my parts if it's best to wait.

I play all the modern games out on the market and like to keep them at high graphics but it's not a deal breaker for me. If it's best to wait then I will as I don't like to continue upgrading my pc every year.

Current games that I play would be; The Crew, Battlefield 4, Evolve, Batman Arkham City, Tomb Raider

So maybe you will increase the picture size? It's weird to have a 24 inch display and see the picture only sized as a match box.

Hey guys! I found a bug that the devs really need to be aware of. It seems that the physics engine in the game seems to move at whatever speed your framerate is in relation to 60. I only realized this because I have a high refresh rate monitor and was testing the game at 120hz. I had the frame limited off so my fps was going up into the 200s and as I was shooting zeds they were hitting the ground instantly. They would slide of objects and things extremely quickly and chairs I bumped into would pop away and tip over within .2 seconds. So basically you can't play at a high refresh rate without having a weird cartoony effect on the ragdoll physics. Anyone else see this.

P.S The game looks AMAZING at 120fps

In one of the previous patches, an option to change the radar from the standard circle radar into a full size square radar was added.

With the new square radar, we have a great overview of the map, and we can see some details, as can be seen on this image.

But, for some reason the square rader is only available when we toggle the scoreboard, why is that?

I would also like to know, if there is an option to have the square radar completely replacing the old radar, as well as having it activated at all times. If there is not, I would like to suggest to allow us to do so.

Good afternoon. I have just received my new 360 controller, something I have been meaning to order since I found driving in Rage with a mouse and KB to be darned near impossible. Anyway, I've also installed GTA V, (My first GTA game ) and wondered which is better for the game?

I haven't finished the prologue yet, and I really worried about switching to a controller when I've never used one, when I know I'm going to have a hard time already, because I'm terrible at shooters.

So, if by some miracle I complete the prologue, which is the better tool?

It also makes some people aware of the video's you have if you let it link to the page like you do with the game hub after right clicking someone in your friends list of someone who's ingame.

Opens doors to brief conversations aswell when talking about the movie you're watching.

(Perhaps you should think about investing in a movie store? Give something else gamers require instead of us forced to go elsewhere like lovefilm, blinkbox, nowtv etc. Have it all in your one app, renting and buying movies/tv boxsets. Would suit steam plugging us into even more entertainment)

I have task on editing a CS:GO replay, to be exact, make picture quality as good as possible by means of SFM's render, add DOF, make complex camera slides, etc.
Replay was not recorded via console but was downloaded after game was played, game was competitive.
Maps, games played on are standart CS:GO maps like, de_dust and de_inferno.

I want these Metropolice to follow the player, and they kind of do, but if the player is behind a corner they stop following. Or sometimes they'll be on the other side of an open doorway and will just look at me but not follow.
I've used an aiscripted_schedule to make them follow the player, they both are in the same squad, and there is an npc_enemyfinder in their squad as well. But still, they do not follow at all times.
How did Valve make them follow, even when they can't see you? I've decompiled HL2 maps to look at the entity setup, but I don't understand why mine does not work. Using mat_wireframe 3, I can see that the police look directly at the player even when on the other side of a wall. How are they so aware?

I was very confused, why do I have this message, whereas I never commit fraud, and if it because the charging of steam, i always use a physical voucher code or From the Sale of items in my game Market Steam and never filling Steam Wallet by Credit Card, But Why do I get a message that says I do Fraud? Is Steam Wallet where I get from sales of items from Market Steam Wallet is a former Fraud or else it? If yes I really do not know it, but I bought the steam wallet always use a physical voucher code.

I've read about this problem on reddit and spud, i think this problem needs more attention:

When i fire up TF2 and look at my history, i have community pubs, the Swedish Valve pubs and the Valve pubs from Luxembourg.

But at random intervals, i can not connect to any Luxembourg server. It just says something about the server not responding. A few minutes later, i can connect just fine.

When i have connected, i have absolutely no problem with the connection, i can play for 2 hours without getting disconnected, i restart TF2 for testing purposes and suddenly the exact same server is unresponsive, again.

I have come to the following conclusion:
1. It is not related to my ISP
2. The LU servers are never down for all players at the same time
3. I am not the only player having this issue, i've seen players from Germany, the UK and the Netherlands complaining about the same problem.

The Mann-Conomy Update started the cosmetic-mongering stereotype commonly associated with TF2 players and the impression that every single person with no hats are less talented than those who has one.

While the Uber Update introduced Free to Play,which opened the game to a much wider audience, for better or for worse (12 year olds, mind you) and created the division between public and competitive gameplays.

This is bothering me! I always practise in MM Deathmatch (Gold Nova 1 and lost my rank recently) and I can score quite well, always be the top 5. But as soon as I go to a PUG game (MM is a joke, I don't have friends to play too) I can't frag for ♥♥♥♥s.

I did everything like how I did in deathmatch, strafing etc but I always got killed by body shots while I keep trying to go for heads or thrown off guard by crouches.

I'm suspecting is my mentality of headshot is a must so I kinda missed a lot of opportunity of killing opponent with bodyshots. So I'm wondering is it my attitude in practising deathmatch has affected my ability to play a normal match or is just a sheer skill difference?

The server usually have players ranging from SEM all the way to DMG.

I have been messing around with particles, alot. I had this idea to give bullets and weapons custom particles trails.

After I did it(they look awesome). I figured I could use this as a workshop item. I know you guys want the game to be balanced and fixed first. But it would really help if you put that aside and told me if you would want this in the game.

The Idea;

New ammunition crate is added (I know valve beat me to the "munitions" crate) It would look something like this link

It contains 3 items; "Ammo" "Rocket fuel(its really for all particle weapons)" "GunPowder", The chance of getting these is divided evenly(33%)

-Ammo: Causes bullets to leave behind a trail of particles and change the color of the tracer. There are different effects with different rarities

-Rocket fuel(for a lack of better name): Changes the trail projectile weapons leave behind, this includes weapons like jarate. This also changes the pyros flamethrower effect.

-Gunpowder: Changes the explosion effects of weapons, only works on explosive weapons and the engineer PDA(building death effect)

These specify what is being changed, not the effect that the weapon receives. That effect is determined by the "prefix" it gets after being uncrated.(this is all random)

The prefixes you can get on your weapon mod. For Example "Red colored Rocket fuel. "Frost ammo".

-Colors (Common)
Changes bullet tracer color/particle trail to x color. No extra particles.

- Special (Rare)
Changes bullet tracer/particle trail color. Extra particles. Current effects are Smoke(In Video), Frost(In Video), Explosive, Fire(In Video), Electric(In Video), High caliber(Similar to Classic warp trail), Energy, Fireworks, and Water(Dont ask)

-Legendary (Very very very very very Rare)
Changes the same items as the "Special". Except these effects are extremely rare. Australium(In Video) and Community Sparkle.

-Explosion effects
I havent worked on this section much, with the only 2 effects being in the video.

I mentioned a video above, and here is my not so great video showing the effects.(If anyone knows a better screen capture program that does not record at 20 fps that would be great). What do you guys think?

So pretty much this.. I have a sub woofer and a Sony MEX 500bt stereo. Whenever I put a CD in to play the bass will get loud as crap where I cant even hear the music, I then use my ipod for music but it doesn't get as loud as the CDs. I don't care for it too loud but I'm just wondering what the crap is up with that. It seems like a few years ago when I had it hooked up to a different stereo that it was louder on ipod, so maybe its the Sony? I've tried hooking it into AUX instead of bluetooth but no change. Hi everyone,

I just bought Arkham Asylum GOTY and it will not load the game at all. I've never played Arkham Asylum before so I have no saves from the GFWL version corrupting anything. I've tried reinstalling MSVC, DX, PhysX (although I don't have an Nvidia GPU), and I've tried reinstalling the game via Steam, but I always get an Assertion Fail message. If anyone knows what to do or what may be causing the error I would really appreciate it because I want to play all the Arkham games before Arkham Knight releases. If it is of any help at all, Arkham City works perfectly, my PC has more than enough power to run Arkham Asylum (R9 290+Xeon E3-1231v3), and the error message is here. Thanks for any information.

Hello.

I'm making this post because I've become seriously concerned over the lack of response on a support ticket I submitted last Thursday. (April 16th)

The ticket was due to me receiving an E-mail notification saying that I'd "changed my email address" tied to my steam account, since it obviously wasn't me, I clicked the link to lock down my account and submitted a support ticket.

I've done all the security things, changed passwords, scanned my computer...given the required information that the "Canned" response asked of me...And I have had absolutely no response from support, for 7 buisness days (that's 11 days now counting weekends)

My concern is more from a lack of response then the fact that this issue isn't "fixed" had I gotten someone emailing me back saying "We are currently working on this issue" or "The information submitted is not adequate, we need this this and this" I would feel much more secure.

However.

I have heard nothing.

This is seriously concerning me, and I would like some kind of feedback...is this normal? Am I going to wake up in three days and suddenly have my account back? I know that its probably not likely I'll get some kind of "official" response here either, but I still feel like I need some kind of feedback.

It seems that they are written based on clock speeds, which should not matter. I mean, clock speeds don't indicate actual performance, and I have multiple cores.

Searching for something in my free roam bucket i stumbled over 'Ligne du Nord'. Installed it quite some time ago and forgat about it because it was far from finished and only free roam scenarios available (no signalling setup yet). Curiously i had a look and found it to be absolutely beautiful, amazing, and stunning. I could only think of one thing: "I want it!!", "I need it!!" ( Ok, two things.. )

The version i have installed is V01-2014 but i found there's a newer version V1-2015 and installed that. The package comes with 3 (possibly Standard) scenarios but the thing is that, in the zip file, the're placed in a folder called 'Scenarios' but TS doesn't use a folder like 'scenarios' as such, does it ?

Can someone please enlighten me where exactly scenarios normally reside in the TS folder structure ?

I updated the app, ran it. First thing it does is pops up with a thing telling me I'll need to get email authentication every time I run it...

except I don't see any "get email authentication code here" button, or a box to enter the code in if I get it or anything to do at all. I can go to settings and turn Steam Guard Off. I was tempted to turn it off and then turn it on again, but it threatens I won't be able to use market for a time if I do that. So not even going to try that. It thinks it's on, but there's nothing to do.

No clue how to authenticate.

But...I seem to be able to use it to chat with friends anyway, authenticated or not?! What? :confused:

Firstly, yes: I do have the latest (GTA optimised) driver from AMD: in fact I've just re-installed it.

I have a mediocre PC, but GTA V has been running pretty well since launch: I've found that it runs somewhere between 30-40fps, though in the city it drops noticably (though still playable).

HOWEVER:

Yesterday I decided to do something about the stutter in the city and overclocked my card even further than I had before: this time to the maximum AMD's CCC would allow (1050 core, 1450 memory). When I fired up the game, I found that it was doing something quite different: now (in the city) it was nice and smooth briefly (40-50 fps) but every 7 seconds or so would drop to about 15 fps for a good 5 seconds. It would fluctuate between these two states constantly: no matter whether I stood still or drove around. In the 15 fps state it was unplayable.

Naturally I changed my overclock settings back to how they were before... but the problem hasn't gone away, despite restarting multiples times.

Any ideas what could have caused this?

So after that I got off and watched some netflix then the same day just hours after i got off I got back on to play with friends and I was VAC banned. I have never cheated and would love for someone to shed some light on this for me. I have no programs that I know of that could cause this false ban. I like to stream GTA V to my TV and play with a controller while sitting on my couch. The problem is that, at a distance, the icons on the world map, the text size, and the minimap are all difficult to see. Most times I have to stand and walk up to the screen in order to plan GPS routes/set waypoints/etc.

The only thing I found that I thought might have helped was changing the resolution of the game. That did not help. Is there a way to enlarge these things?

The other day while playing some world of Warcraft and talking to a friend on Skype, my 7970 graphics card froze displaying pink/red vertical lines on my monitor. I could still talk to my friend on Skype, so i assumed it was just a loose cable. so i fiddled around with the dvi cable on the monitor and restarted the computer. when the computer restarted i had picture back, but a few mins later it crashed again this time with blue/yellow vertical lines and when i restarted it again i had no picture just a black screen. since then I have come to the conclusion that the monitor, cables, PSU and motherboard are not at fault as they work with a 7570. Also my 7970's fans are working. On my motherboard the VGA_LED is solid red. For the time being i have removed my 7970 from my pc and i am using my CPU's graphical capability's. The only thing that i can think of that might have caused damage to the gpu was the recent addition of a AVerMedia HD Lite Live Gamer to the PCI-E slot just above my 7970. if the AVerMedia card became lose and touched off of the 7970 could it short it? I have reinstalled drivers but that doesn't seem to have help. at this point i am desperate for suggestions.

A few months ago my old hard drive was failing, and I went to a local computer store, got a new hard drive, lately I've been getting weird memory warnings, yet scanning my hard drive produced no errors at all, now suddenly the brand new 3 month old hard drive is on the brink of failure according to windows 8.1. When I was playing titan of a job last night I got this really interesting hud when I entered my car. It showed all the gauges like tunr singles and other car like hud lights. This hud even showed up when in 3ed person view. But when I failed the mission (titan got destroyed for some reason of 2 of engines where not working when I go in it and it was harder to fly) The HUD disappeared. any ideas on how to get it back?

I did have examples with Skyrim but i forgot to include framerates in the pictures lol

But basically the same starting sequence of Skyrim(54 Mods installed, no major performance hit ones such as ENBS are what not) with that Process on i have around 15fps, end the process in task manger straight back up to 60fps.

Skyrim isn't the only game it does it with either, every single game does it, and as you can see it also uses about 25% of my CPU making the fan go crazy on it.

Just an hour ago, OVERKILL released update 65's minisite, detailing some general bug fixes alongside an overhaul of revamped First-Person animations!

Heisters, it’s time to give the first-person animations some more love. At OVERKILL we always strive to make PAYDAY 2 as great of an experience as it possibly can be for you guys to enjoy and for us to be proud of. Having recently announced that we’ll continue working on PAYDAY 2 for at least two more years, we’re excited to get this update out the door as a testament to our continued commitment and support of the game. With this free update, we introduce a host of new and updated first-person animations for tons of weapons in the game.

For months, our animators in the OVERKILL crew have been hard at work to further refine and and improve upon our existing first-person animations. The First Person Animations Update:

Players will now be able to see the bullets in the magazines when reloading

Updated the transparent magazine for JP36, Commando 553, Kobus 90 and UAR

Updated the Expert magazine for the CAR-4 weapons family

Updated the first person reload animation on most weapons

Updated the first person shout animations

Updated the first person equip/unequip animations on most weapons

Updated the first person weapon butt melee attack animation on most weapons

Updated the first person throw frag grenade animation

Updated the first person tased animation

Updated the first person recoil animation on most weapons

Updated the first person cuffed animation

Updated the first person weapon aligment

Updated the first person sprint animation on most pistols

Updated the first person animation when using extended mags. It will no longer clip through the players hand

Updated the first person inspire animation

Added more reload sounds

General fixes:

Fixed a desync issue with the HE rounds on the client side

Fixed an issue where the players sometimes couldn't kill converted law enforcers

Fixed an issue where the players sometimes couldn't dominate law enforcers

Fixed an issue where players couldn't activate the feedback on the ECM Jammer when coming back from custody

Fixed an issue with the sound when having DMR kits attached on silenced weapons

Fixed an issue where placing a Sentry Gun sometimes marked players as cheaters

Fixed an issue where players couldn't complete the "Bang for your Buck" achievement with the Steakout 12G Shotgun

Fixed an issue where some sights where attached without a rail

Fixed an issue where some weapons clipped with the player camera when being cuffed

Fixed an issue where the bullets in the magazine of the JP36 Rifle were faced backwards

Fixed an issue where the team AI spawned outside the container on Armored Transport: Harbor

Fixed an issue with the description on the body bag case asset

Fixed a graphical issue in the loot drop screen when playing with 2560x1080 resolution

I'm starting to get a little bit annoyed at steam shutting itself down while my computer is in sleep mode.

No matter the reason, Steam shouldn't just shut itself down like that.

So that brings me to my question:

Is there a way to prevent steam from shutting itself down to update without my permission?

I have literally just made a thread about the Vacc a little while ago, but this one serves a different purpose in that this is about what my overall opinion of it is.

For the longest time I've held tightly to the idea that it's a little underpowered, but if the overheal penalty were removed, it'd be a perfect sidegrade without a doubt. I'm questioning my judgment though, considering it's passive crit and damage resists, fast charging mini ubers that effectively quadrubles a patient's health against a damage type, and free healing from the harm a patient receives, I'm wondering if it already is a very good sidegrade.

I'd like to use it more to get a better grasp on it, I just feel I never get a good opportunity to use this quirky little thing. Either I feel the need to play some other class, or there's no good patients, or the map type/gamemode is just wrong for it.
