Phlogistonator change and other old Pyro ideas

Personally I always hated the inception and concept of the airblast, anything that would hamper the motion of the player other than knockback, should've been treated as anathema by the devs, if the airblast was like an incinerator that incinerated projectiles like the short circuit so he could get closer and still burn people would've been cool
but the idea of him blowing around people and reflecting attacks was ridiculous to me but that's what controlled the paradigm of his gameplay and everyone went along with it so the Pyro's gameplay was boring and uninspired. He should've been about coming up with creative ways of lighting people on fire
So as of now the Phlog is the only weapon that actually allows you to be a pyro without encouraging you as projectile mirror man, and I find that refreshing.



Now for the change to the Phlogistonator
  • dropping 10% damage penalty

While Mmmph is activated
  • Drop the mmmph to minicrit damage
  • Have the Phlog energy incinerate all projectiles, basically operating like a Short Circuit
  • Increase speed 15%


Not sure if this will fix things but I think it will for a more thinking man's pyro, that does not want to be leafblower projectile mirror force trap card man

For new weapon Pyro should get

Jar of Gas
  • It replaces the pyro secondary
  • Splash it on any surface or player and it will stay soaked in gas for 20 seconds, when lit that area or enemies player will burn for 10 seconds from the time of being lit.
  • It can be lit by any flame creating weapon and can be lit by player that are already on fire
  • friendly player coated with it , would out enemy fires and coats them in protection for the period of time
