Steam used to work fine for me for months. Then it could not connect to the Store, "Error 101" whatever that is. I at least had my Library. Once or twice the Store worked, so I thought maybe it was just some weird glitch. Then I decided to try uninstalling and reinstalling Steam to see if that would fix the issue.
Now I have the Fatal Error and I cannot even open Steam.
I have tried everything I've read on the Steam Support website and elsewhere. Firewall, registries to 0, cleaning out malware, restarting modem, computer, etc. Nothing has helped. Clearly I am on the internet, I have no other problems with my connectivity, it's just Steam that seems to think I am not connected to the internet.
Does anyone have any suggestions other than those methods I already mentioned trying above?

Fatal Error Steam needs to be online to update HELP I have tried everything!
