Now I understand fully that the steam forums (ie: the ones you access through community home ) are not a priority for valve. I also know that it is not easy to find good forum mods willing to spend time in many of these forums doing basic maintenance. But the some of the forums, well mostly (TF2, CSGO), are just cesspools of spam, begging, troll baiting and repeat posts (csgo forums have about a 70 "I got banned" thread percentage.
If steam can't monitor these forums regularly (the mods are busy, I know many of them mod several forums and most likely get more reports a day then they can handle ) then why not shut them down or find more mods (easier said than done)
