Shaders stuck at high

This is getting quite annoying because my computer can't really handle smooth gameplay while shaders are set to High. The problem is that i set Shaders to low at video settings but they are high ingame. This pretty much made me stop playing mm since i can't handle LE at 30-50 fps
Any idea how to fix this?
