The news has a story about a lion on the loose in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and it got me thinking about my wild animal encounters. Once I was mountain biking and my friend and I whipped around a bend in the trail and ran smack into an adult male moose. We both crashed our bikes to avoid a collision and fortunately the beast just stomped at us and then walked away. Another time a moose chased me when I was in a canoe.
